APPEALS
There are generally two ways to be convicted of a crime - by pleading guilty (or no contest) and by losing at trial. Either way, there are times when things go wrong during the process. That is when an experienced appellate attorney can help. An appeal involves reviewing a trial/plea/sentencing to determine if any mistakes were made (by the judge/jury/lawyers), and, if so, arguing those issues to the court of appeals.
